The present: In a present global world, the technological development is growing much faster than the evolution of our society and its thoughts. The performance carried out in ports and coasts, needs an adequate criterium to provide a basic equilibrium to take the right decisions of investments, enabling the participation of our society, which will receive the high benefits of efforts done by the Governments

Integrality: The port and coasts projects shall be integrals, taking into consideration all aspects to be developed. The importance of ports as employment and wealth generators, shall balance with the demands of urban spaces and the environmental needs. The logistic importance, the multimodal transport chains completely integrated to the ports, and their capacity of producing sinergies , which generate activities with value added, bring very positive points with concentration and ordenation of such activities in the different worldwide cities and regions.

Presence : To reach this equilibrium between the technological development and the growing environmental and social needs, in the Ports and Coasts area, this group was formed by professionals from different countries worldwide, to contribute with the these important themes, to show the governments and companies the necessity of treat such themes with a professional view and finally, improving the knowledge in such area, sharing it with everyone thru seminars, congresses and courses.

Professionalism : We are all professionals from different areas, able to elaborate full projects of ports and coasts. Lawyers, economists, engineers, freight forwarders, shipping agents, cargo agents, mariners, port technical, environmental specialists, sociologists and all people who wants to share our goals, in order to improve the quality of life, keeping the basic principles of ethic with our modest contribution in Ports and Coasts.
